John J. Hinnegan, President and Investment Advisor Representative

• I am in my 11th year as a full time independent Financial Planner.
• Most of my clients are in Michigan, but I do have some in Ohio and Florida. I am licensed for security related activities in all three states.
• I did my undergraduate work at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo MI, in Business Administration, and my masters work at Central Michigan University in Human Resource and Labor Relations.
• I am licensed for all or most insurance and securities and I am an Investment Advisor Representative.
• Currently, I am associated with various professional groups within the financial industry in order to keep abreast of ongoing changes within the financial planning arena. We share ideas about new investment, tax, risk, and planning strategies plus unique product innovations. This is a great way for me to continually bring leading edge solutions to my clients.
• I’m also a member of Ed Slott’s IRA group. Ed Slott is recognized as the leading expert in IRA tax strategies. He is a frequent contributor to the Wall Street Journal and several other major publications. He is the author of several books and a newsletter and has recently appeared on PBS across the country. Our group meets twice annually for 3-4 days to review all the latest tax laws affecting IRAs and how to continually bring this knowledge back to our clients so they are able to avoid unnecessary taxes and keep more of their wealth for their loved ones.
